Heading our way in late 2007 is destined to be the Samsung F700, a terrific advancement in the world of smart phones. It is due to be unveiled in March 2007 at the 3GSM World Congress but here are some quick technical notes on the phone to whet your appetite.

The phone has a landscape and portrait mode with slide out keyboard.

It can connect to internet speeds of up to 7.2 MBps - about the current maximum speed of home broadband in the United Kingdom.

The slide out keyboard is of the QWERTY type.

It has a 2.8 inch screen with a resolution of 440x240 pixels. This is better than most other smartphones.

The screen is touch-sensitive!

On to the camera - and it's a whopping 5 Megapixel featuring a flash and an auto-focus function.

It has a vibrating feedback function through the keyboard - called the Samsung VibeTonz system.

Size: A compact 104 x 50 x 16mm

The phone is tri-band and features bluetooth.
